This draft explains how Thesis Desk expects to handle account, subscription, thesis, and usage data during the founding beta.
1. Information we collect
We collect account identifiers such as your email address; subscription and entitlement records; the companies, thesis text, claims, decisions, and feedback you choose to provide; generated analysis and citations; and limited technical logs needed for security, reliability, and support. Payment card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by Thesis Desk.
2. How information is used
We use information to authenticate you, provide and secure the service, monitor covered sources, generate thesis-related analysis, administer subscriptions, answer support requests, diagnose failures, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell private thesis content.
3. Model processing and training
Private thesis content may be sent to contracted model providers to produce the analysis you request. It is not used to train models without your affirmative opt-in. Provider retention and processing are restricted by our service settings and contracts where available, but no processing system is risk-free.
4. Human QA during beta
During the beta, specifically authorized reviewers may inspect limited thesis inputs, source excerpts, model outputs, and feedback to investigate errors and evaluate reliability. Access is limited, logged where supported, and used for quality assurance, not to make investment decisions for you.
5. Sharing and service providers
We share only what is reasonably necessary with infrastructure, authentication, email, payment, model, analytics, and support providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention and security
We retain information while your account is active and as needed for service, dispute, security, tax, and legal purposes. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but cannot guarantee absolute security. Deletion from backups and legally required records may take additional time.
7. Export, correction, and deletion
You may request an export of your thesis data, ask us to correct account information, or request account deletion. Some subscription, security, or legal records may be retained where required. Send requests to support@example.com.
