Why we built it
AI helps us watch more sources, remove duplicates and noise, and deliver each meaningful development in the context of your investment thesis.
Duplication
“I keep seeing the same story repeated across many sites.”
Alert fatigue
“I get too many alerts, so I ignore them.”
Coverage
“Big news sites do not cover small companies.”
Upkeep
“It is hard to keep my reasons for investing up to date.”
Delay
“Something important happens, but I find out days later.”
Volume
“I get too much news and do not know what matters.”
Headlines tell you what happened. Your thesis decides whether it matters. Tracking Alpha connects the two.
How it works
Add your investments, filter the daily news, and see what may affect your thesis.
1
Add the companies, funds, or digital assets you own or follow.
2
We remove less useful stories and group repeated reports into one event.
3
AI checks each event against your saved reasons and explains what changed.

From the builder
I'm Jera Value. I'm a software engineer (I even built stuff for the Olympics!) and a private investor. I also built findmymoat.com to find the best investing tools out there.
After collecting more than 350 high quality tools (and discarding hundreds of others), I realized one problem I lived with as an investor was still unsolved the way I wanted: portfolio news and thesis tracking.
The news feeds I tried were incomplete. They report financial events with little regard for the product or the underlying business, and most tools sit on the same few data feeds, because this is a hard thing to solve. The news is not filtered by relevance, and it gives no clue how it affects my thesis.
I wanted to read only the important stuff without missing the underlying business developments. So I built a custom news engine that scans the internet itself instead of relying on the old feeds. It merges duplicate reports, labels every development, and I built it to handle every asset, even the small ones mainstream media barely covers.
Then, once I had a super clean feed, I realized I could go one step further and compare each development against my thesis. This is huge. Many developments carry evidence for or against it, but I never checked for that every day, and the world moves fast. I used to have silent thesis drift, where reality moved away from the point where I did my research. Now I can see whether my thesis is playing out without me looking. And the daily filtered feed is gold on its own.
Anyway. I realized there was something I wanted that no existing tool solved, so I made one. I am building it in public, posting as @jera_value. Hope you like it.

Common questions
Clear answers about coverage, AI limits, and billing.
No. Tracking Alpha is not investment advice. It shows how each development may affect the reasons in your thesis, with the sources attached. The decision stays yours.
Alerts and feeds stop at what happened. Tracking Alpha checks each development against the reasons you own the investment and shows whether it supports or challenges them. It also merges repeated reports into one event, so five versions of the same story arrive once.
No. Add an investment and monitoring starts on its own. You get the filtered, labeled news feed and event calendar without writing anything. When you add one reason you own it, AI drafts thesis points from that reason, and new developments are checked against them. You keep, edit, or remove the points.
No. You add each investment by name or ticker. Tracking Alpha never asks for brokerage logins, balances, or trades.
Most days, one short email. The daily brief shows what changed and why it may matter, with a link to every source. Open the app only when something deserves a closer look.
Often, yes. We search the public web, not only the big financial news sites, so coverage does not stop at large US names. Supported types are stocks, ETFs, funds, investment trusts, and major cryptocurrencies, up to 25 at a time. Before you add any investment, we check whether we can actually monitor it. If we cannot, we tell you up front instead of showing you a thin feed.
Our goal is to catch what ticker feeds miss. We search the wider story around each investment, including customers, suppliers, competitors, rules, industry, and the economy, twice a day. Even so, no monitoring is perfect. A source can be late or outside our search, and AI can misread context. We show the limits of each check, keep improving coverage, and attach every source so you can verify.
You correct it. Every thesis point can be edited or removed, and you can review how each development was connected to your reasons. Your corrections stay in the thesis history. The AI drafts and suggests. You stay the judge of your own thesis.
You still get the brief. It says plainly that we found no material challenge to your reasons, and it shows when each check ran. Counts come from real recorded activity. Quiet is a result, not silence.
No. Instead, the first payment comes with a full refund within 14 days, no questions asked. Try it for two weeks. If it is not for you, send the refund request from your account email. See the Terms for details.
