What it is
Whether, and on what trigger, the outside date can move later.

How to read it
- If approvals are still pending
- It extends when a regulatory approval isn't in yet, or a law or order tied to those approvals blocks the deal.
- If approvals are pending, among other triggers
- It extends for pending approvals, and also on a broader trigger, typically any law or court order blocking the deal, on any grounds.
- On another trigger
- None of its triggers is a regulatory approval: for example a financing period, litigation or a party's choice.
This line counts the extension rights in the agreement. A new date both sides agree later changes the outside date itself.
